Indicative calendar for the Eurosystem's tender operations in 2001

The ECB is today releasing the indicative calendar for the Eurosystem's tender operations in 2001 (see attached).

By releasing the indicative calendar at this early stage, the ECB aims to create the conditions to facilitate the participation of counterparties throughout the euro area in the main and the longer-term refinancing operations. Also for this reason, when compiling the calendar, the ECB has taken into account bank holidays in the individual euro area countries.
