Mr Gerald Grisse appointed as permanent representative of the European Central Bank in Washington, D.C. with observer status at the International Monetary Fund

The Executive Board of the European Central Bank has appointed Mr Gerald Grisse to succeed Mr Robert Raymond as the ECB's permanent representative in Washington D.C. with observer status at the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Grisse will take up his duties in Washington on 9 September 1999.
Mr Grisse held various positions at the Deutsche Bundesbank, as Head of the Bundesbank's Division for International and IMF-Relations, Head of the Foreign Department with responsibilities for managing Germany's foreign reserves and, at present, Head of the Personnel Department.
